HTAccess

(HTTP Access) An authorization system for Unix-based Web servers (HTTP servers). An .htaccess file contains a series of commands that allow or deny certain users, and this file is stored in the directory that needs to be secured. If permission is granted, all subdirectories of that directory can be accessed.
