Hapgood, Norman

(1868–1937) editor, author; born in Chicago. Particularly successful as the muckraking editor of Collier's Weekly (1903–12), he later edited Harper's Weekly (1913–16) and Hearst's International Magazine (1923–25); he was also a drama critic and wrote several biographies.
