Harrison, Anna (b. Symmes)

(1775–1864) First Lady; born in Walpack Township, N.J. She married William Henry Harrison in 1795. She never saw the White House; she was ill in early 1841, and missed Harrison's inauguration and his one month as president.

She is survived by her three nephews, their wives and six great-nephews and two great- nieces: Jonathan and Elizabeth Boardman Davis, John Boardman, Harrison, Anna Madison and Catherine, of Waterbury, Vt., Laurence and Deborah vanRiet Davis, John Adams and Michael of Sterling, Douglas and Linda Burnham Davis, Benjamin and Samuel of Sterling; and two brothers-in-law and a step sister-in-law: John Maddison Davis and Ronna Archbold Davis of Sterling, and William Heim of Ellicott City, Md.
