Harrison, Caroline (Lavinia b. Scott)

(1832–92) First Lady; born in Oxford, Ohio. She and Benjamin Harrison were married in 1853. She was well-educated and had artistic and musical talents. She fell ill with tuberculosis during the 1892 election campaign and died two weeks before Harrison lost that election.
