Havlíčkův Brod

 

city in Czechoslovakia, in the Czech Socialist Republic, in the region of East Bohemia, on the Sázava River. Population, 17,000 (1968). This city is a major transport junction. Its industries include machine building, plastics production, textiles, and food.
