Hendricks, Thomas A. (Andrews)

(1819–85) vice-president, senator; born in Zanesville, Ohio. As a senator, he opposed Lincoln's leadership during the Civil War. He was elected Grover Cleveland's vice-president in 1884, but died after serving for only eight months.
