The Heteroceridae (Coleoptera) specimens that were collected from Turkey by various researchers in various museums and private collections have been evaluated.
Hydrophilidae was the best represented family accounting for 31.57 to 52.17% of the species recorded; Dytiscidae and Noteridae accounted for 21.73%-36.84% and 8.69-31.57% respectively, whereas the remaining families (Hydrochidae, Dryopidae, Limnichidae, Heteroceridae and Scirtidae) represented 3.00-6.25% of the total number of species (Fig.
