Homogeneous System

a physical system in which the components do not differ from one another in composition or properties and are not separated from one another by surfaces of separation. All the physical characteristics (parameters) of a homogeneous system are either identical in all its components or change continuously from point to point. Microinhomogeneities (of density, composition, and so forth, particularly fluctuating ones) do not disrupt the total homogeneity of a homogeneous system if they are so small that the concepts of temperature, composition, and the like are not applicable. Gas mixtures and solid or liquid solutions are examples of homogeneous systems.

The enzyme in the oxygen-evolving center of green plants "is about the least stable catalyst in nature, and one of the shortest lived, because it's doing one of the hardest jobs," Hill says."We've duplicated this complex natural process by taking some of the essential features from photosynthesis and using them in a synthetic, carbon-free, homogeneous system. The result is a water oxidation catalyst that is far more stable than the one found in nature."For decades, scientists have been trying to imitate Mother Nature and create a WOC for artificial photosynthesis.
The TigerSHARC enables homogeneous system platform design, which can support true multi-standard capability, the company claims.
Hardac EP Coat is applied to the surface of the prepared concrete slab and, whilst still tacky, the screed is applied to produce a completely homogeneous system. This screed is levelled, using a standard raking procedure, tamped by a wooden float, to achieve consolidation, then steel float finishing brings the binder to the surface to form a seal and make it impervious to liquids.
