Humberside,
former county, NE England. Humberside
a county in Great Britain, along both sides of the Humber Estuary. Population, 848,800 (1974). The port cities of Hull, Grimsby, and Immingham form an industrial complex, with petroleum-refining, petrochemical, and chemical industries. The county’s agriculture supplies a major part of the British market.
