The hybrid hydraulic drive system stores energy normally lost as heat during the braking process in a high-pressure oil tank called an accumulator.
Customization of the system also included certain components - the main control panel, the hydraulic drive system, and the polymer make-down system--being housed to protect them from the elements.
A hydraulic drive system produces a smooth and powerful clamping action and allows easy adjustment of the damping pressure, the company says.
Genie improved the hydraulic drive system by giving independent wheel control to both the 32 and 38 ft.
With a new rotary fill technique and hydraulic drive system which is microprocessor controlled, and is infinitely variable, the system ensures gentle filling of the product without any mixing effect, thus allowing the product to retain both its structure and colour, with portions keeping their shape whether raw, fried or cooked.
The unit's hydraulic drive system has a 90 kW motor and produces a high-pressure oil flow of 220 litres/min at 205 bar.
The Cat engine is transversely mounted in the Super Z Diesel mower's engine compartment and packaged with a Rocore Industries cooling system, comprised of a radiator, closed-loop oil cooler for the hydraulic drive system, open-loop oil cooler for the hydraulic deck drive and oil reservoir.
The hydraulic drive system, with its energy-saving, low-noise, variable delivery pumps, allows the use of hydraulic cores and valve gates that with conventional all-electric presses require a separate hydraulic power source.
The mower's hydrostatic drive is driven off the engine using the Dixie Chopper Quad-Loop hydraulic drive system. The Quad-Loop system uses two Hydro-Gear 21 series piston pumps which are driven through a Dixie Chopper T-Gear box, mounted under the seat.
The differences are small between DC and AC drives, but the hydraulic drive system has some outstanding performance characteristics that fit into the needs within rubber mixing (figure 4).
