ILD

(Inter Layer Dielectric) The insulation used between layers of aluminum or copper wire that interconnect the transistors in a chip. There are three to four layers in a memory chip and five to seven in a logic chip with hundreds of meters of wiring. Polymer-based dielectrics, which emerged at the start of the 21st century, are expected to have a tremendous impact in chip design, as plastic insulating material dramatically reduces the crosstalk associated with glass-based dielectrics. See SiLK.

Since there may be some alterations in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid in the absence of ILD, BAL is not routinely used as a diagnostic tool to demonstrate the presence of ILD in RA.
Depending on the HRCT abnormalities and patterns, each case was classified and was designated to a particular ILD pattern.
As our understanding of the natural histories of various interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) has evolved, so has the recognition that certain radiologic patterns are correlated with specific histopathologic patterns in patients with ILDs.
"The acquisition of ILD supports our vision to be the instinctive first choice for business and people transformation by delivering training that improves industry's performance and enhances lives."
Among all the ILD patients, only 2 patients who were later diagnosed as having silicosis had sputum smear positive tuberculosis in past and were treated for it.
Problem Statement: Community-dwelling individuals living with dementia (ILDs) progressively struggle to perform self-care activities such as daily oral hygiene, and increasingly require support.
Table 4 contains detailed information (anti-ARS antibody status, age, sex, MTX and bDMARDs treatments, anti-CCP, and RF values) for patients who tested positive for anti-ARS antibody and had also ILD. MTX was administered to one patient while bDMARDs were administered to three patients.
* When a diagnosis of ILD is suspected, investigation should begin with high-resolution CT (HRCT).
Each participant was assessed for clubbing after which the medical charts of participants were reviewed and the following data were extracted: age, sex, pack-years of tobacco smoking, systolic pulmonary arterial pressure (sPAP), and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) estimated by Doppler echocardiography, pulse oximeter oxygen saturation (SpO2), arterial blood gas analysis results, serum KL-6 levels, pulmonary function test results, etiology of ILD, and HRCT imaging patterns of ILD as assessed by radiologists.
A computed tomography (CT) scan of the chest indicated ILD (Figure 2(a)).
Chest x-ray detected ILD in 80 (58.39%) patients, out of which, 72 (true positive) had ILD and 8 (false positive) had no ILD on HRCT.
Interstitial lung disease (ILD) or diffuse parenchymal lung disease comprises a diverse group of more than 200 conditions that damage the lung parenchyma.
