Imbrie, Andrew (Welsh)

(1921–  ) composer; born in New York City. After studies with Nadia Boulanger in France and Roger Sessions in the U.S.A., he taught at the University of California: Berkeley. His music is noted for a firmly controlled use of modernist materials.
