Interestingly, while genes involved in glycogen or lipid metabolism were not tested, the authors report no change in peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor [alpha] (PPAR[alpha]) and IR gene expression [see Keshava and Caldwell (2006) for additional discussion of PPAR[alpha]].
