Cheleken, Iuzhnyi


the northern part of the Turkmen Gulf of the Caspian Sea, off the southern coast of the Cheleken Peninsula. It is separated from the sea by the low-lying Dervish Peninsula and by the Iuzhnyi Cheleken spit. Iuzhnyi Cheleken is approximately 20 km long, 35 km wide, and 5–7 m deep. The port of Aladzha is situated on the bay.
