Jabal Al-Awliya

 

(Jebel Aulia), a population center on the right bank of the White Nile south of Khartoum in the Sudan. It is linked to Khartoum by a railroad branch. There is a cotton-ginning plant in the town, and nearby is a storage dam for irrigation of cotton fields in the Arab Republic of Egypt. North of Jabal al-Awliya is a tree nursery.
