I have found Augustinus Karl Wucherer-Huldenfeld's "Zu Heideggers Verstfindnis des Seins bei Johannes Duns Scotus und im Skotismus sowie im Thomismus und bei Thomas von Aquin" helpful, especially for drawing out the connections between Heidegger's early interest in Scotus, the Scotistic ontology of his teacher, Carl Braig, and the critique of Scholasticism presented in Being and Time.
