Jordy, William H. (Henry)

(1917–  ) architectural historian; born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. A faculty member of Brown University (1955), his contributions to 20th-century architectural history include the comprehensive American Buildings and their Architects (with William H. Pierson, 1970–72) and the standard study, Louis Sullivan (1986).
