Journal of Vampirology

Journal of Vampirology

(pop culture)

From 1984 to 1990 the field of vampire studies had what closely resembled a scholarly journal. The 18 issues of the Journal of Vampirology contained a variety of well-researched articles on vampire history and folklore. Editor John L. Vellutini of San Francisco wrote more than half of the articles, and the journal reflected both his interests and his expertise. Although serious students of the field read the publication, their number was too small to keep the journal in print.
