K band[′kā ‚band]
A band of radio frequencies extending from 10,900 to 36,000 megahertz, corresponding to wavelengths of 2.75 to 0.834 centimeters.
An optical absorption band which appears together with an F-band and has a lower intensity and shorter wavelength than the latter.
