Kachinskaia Step’

 

a steppe in the basin of the lower reaches of the Abakan River, in the southwestern part of the Minusinsk Depression (Krasnoiarsk Krai, RSFSR). Its surface forms a hilly plain. The soils are chernozem and chestnut with patches of solonetz. The steppe is covered with feather grass and fescue, and it is used for pasture.
