Kakhi

 

a city (a settlement until 1967), the administrativecenter of Kakhi Raion, Azerbaijan SSR. Located at the foot of the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus on the Kurmukh-chai River, a tributary of the Alazani. The city is 125 km north-west of the Evlakh railroad junction. Population, 6, 200 (1970).A fruit cannery and a creamery and cheese dairy are located inthe city.
