Kamenolomni

 

an urban-type settlement, the administrative center of Oktiabr’skii Raion, Rostov Oblast, RSFSR. Located on Grushevka River, in the Don River basin. Kamenoslomni has a railroad station 70 km northeast of Rostov-on-Don. Population, 12, 000 (1970). There are railroad transport enterprises in the city. Kamenolomni arose in the 1860’s with the construction of the Voronezh-Rostov-on-Don railroad.
