Kelamayi

 

(Karamai), a city in China, in the Sinkiang Uighur Autonomous Region. It is a transport junction and the center of the important oil fields of the Dzhungarian Basin, which began to be exploited in 1955–60. Kelamayi has an oil refinery.

The strata in the slope area of the Mahu Sag are well developed, and the sediments that fill the basin comprise Carboniferous, Permian (Jiamuhe Formation, Fengcheng Formation, Xiazijie Formation, Lower Urho Formation, and Upper Urho Formation), Triassic (Baikouquan Formation, Kelamayi Formation, and Baijiantan Formation), Jurassic (Badaowan Formation, Sangonghe Formation, Xishanyao Formation, and Toutunhe Formation) and Cretaceous (Turpan Formation) deposits [31] (Figure 2).

Description : The project will improve urban infrastructure facilities and the environment in the cities of Kelamayi and Kuitun in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR), which will contribute to sustainable economic growth and improve the quality of life for about 340,000 urban residents in the two project cities.
The project will help XUAR address a common and major urban development constraint by enhancing water availability through strengthening wastewater reuse and improving water management in two medium-sized cities Kelamayi and Kuitun.

Under scenario A2, high-order autocorrelations were found at Kelamayi (j = 17) and Wenquan (j = 20), and the significance of the trends in Kalamayi and Wenquan stations changed from significant to insignificant when tested by the MMK method.
"This dynamic group includes many cities that are not household names today: Linyi, Kelamayi and Guiyang in China; Surat and Nagpur in India; Concepcion and Belem in Latin America," it said.
Approximately 110 cities from developing countries will join the ranking, eighty-six from China alone, including lesser-known cities such as Linyi, Kelamayi and Guiyang, and ten from India, including Surat and Nagpur.

Water is a critical concern for Kelamayi and Kuitun, two medium-sized cities in XUAR that receive as little as 100 millimeters of rain each year, with sub-zero temperatures from November to March.
