Kemeri
a balneological, and mud-bath health resort, part of the Iurmaly health resort; located 44 km from Riga. Therapeutic remedies include peat and sapropelic mud and hydrogen sulfide water and sulfate-bicarbonate calcium water for baths and for drinking. In addition, there is chloride-sulfate water of the sodium-calcium-magnesium type (well no. 1, with a depth of 537 m), with the following composition:
People suffering from diseases of the organs of motion and support and the nervous system, gynecological problems, and disorders of the skin, digestive organs, and blood vessels (endarteritis) are treated at the resort. Its facilities include sanatoriums, bathhouses, a mud treatment facility, and a polyclinic.
