Kemlia

 

an urban-type settlement and center of Ichalkov Raion, Mordovian ASSR, 63 km north of the city of Saransk. It is situated at the confluence of the Kemliatka and Alatyr’ rivers (Volga Basin). Railroad station on the Arzamas-Ruzaevka line. It is the site of a distillery and a furniture factory. There is metalworking. Kemlia also has a sovkhoz for fattening livestock and a sovkhoz technicum.
