Kharkov Mathematical Society

 

a learned society founded in 1879 at the University of Kharkov through the efforts of V. G. Imshenetskii. Its members have included the eminent mathematicians A. M. Liapunov and V. A. Steklov, whose papers were discussed at the society’s meetings and published in the society’s reports. The society has an extensive library.
