Khovu-Aksy

 

an urban-type settlement in Tanda Raion, Tuva ASSR. Khovu-Aksy is situated in the valley of the Elegest River (a left tributary of the Enisei), at the foot of the northern flank of the Eastern Tannu-Ola Range, 115 km southwest of the city of Kyzyl. The Tuvakobal’t Combine is located in the settlement.

KHOVU-AKSY, Russia, Safar 23, 1434, Jan 5, 2013, SPA -- More than 1,500 people have been employed to repair a heat supply station breakdown in Russia's Tuva region, UPI quoted officials as saying Saturday.
Heat and hot water was halted to 103 buildings in Khovu-Aksy, where more than 3,000 people, including about 1,500 children, live.
They are from the Khovu-Aksy settlement of the Russian Republic of Tuva with a population of 37,000, Itar-Tass reported Monday.
In addition, the Khovu-Aksy arseno-nickel-cobalt deposit is being mined in Tuva.
