Corynebacterium diphtheriae[¦kȯr·ə‚nē·bak′tir·ē·əm dif′thir·ē‚ī]
A facultatively aerobic, nonmotile species of bacteria that causes diphtheria in humans. Also known as Klebs-Loeffler bacillus.
