Klerk, Michael de

(1884–1923)
Dutch architect and member of the Amsterdam School who designed projects in Amsterdam, the Netherland’s and include Eigen Haard Housing, (1921), one of several housing estates, with his colleague Piet Kramer (1881–1961). It was built of brick and featured skillfully curved corners and details. He also designed the Navigation House (illus.), Amsterdam (1916) and the De Dageraad housing complex (1920), Amsterdam.
