The latest success brings the number of Green Flag parks in
Knowsley to 18 -- among the highest on Merseyside, and the second highest number in the North West.
The
Knowsley Foundation is a partnership between
Knowsley council,
Knowsley Community and Voluntary Services,
Knowsley Chamber of Commerce and Community Foundation for Merseyside which aims to attract different types of funding and match it to local organisations that support their communities.

North West director of education watchdog, Ofsted, Christopher Russell, said the education system in
Knowsley "has already failed a generation" and "is set to continue for yet another generation".

Mrs Morgan said: "There are places like
Knowsley where only 38% of students get five good GCSEs.
