Komló

 

a city in southern Hungary in the megye (county) of Baranya, on the northern slopes of the Mecsek mountains. Population, 28,000 (1970). Komló is an important center for coking coal mining; the coal is shipped to the Danube Metallurgical Works in Dunaújváros.
