The Booni Police had registered the FIR under Section 341 of the Pakistan Penal Code against about 114 people from Kosht after they held a protest demonstration on Charun Bridge and blocked the Chitral-Mastuj road on October 1, 2015, for not reconstruction of the only bridge in their area.
Those booked by the police included Mohammad Younus Khan, Village Council Kosht Nazim Ghulam Mursaleen, Naib Nazim Waqar Ahmed, Jamaat-e-Islami Kosht Chief Nadir Khan, social and political activist Morder Mir Ayub Khan, Habib Anwar Lal, late Bulbul Khan Ayubi, Kissan Councilor Rafi and Rizwanullah Shah.
The Kosht Bridge was washed away in the July 2015 floods along with the Muxgol Bridge, cutting off the whole Kosht area from the rest of the district.

The notification shows that union councils and wards including Booni, Laspur, Mastuj and Yarkhun will be parts of Mastuj tehsil while Torkhow/Mulkhow tehsil would comprise of Khot, Shogram, Terich, Mulkhow, Kosht
and Owir union councils.
The official said three people died, 151 houses fully damaged, 38 partially damaged while 30 villages in north-west side of Chitral from Drosh to Garam Chashma and eastAnorthern side Chitral to Koragh Mastuj and Kosht Mulkhow and Torkhow union councils were affected.
The Spokesman said Garam Chashma UC, Shoghore UC, Kaset / Rondur Pchili Village UC-II Shishi Kosh UC, Koragh Village, Booni Village, Reshune Village, Charun Village, Kosht Village, Oweer UC complete disconnected, Phasti village, Karimabad Village are still inaccessible.

The under-construction bridges are situated in Shoghor (Rs60 million), Phokel (Rs65 million), Reshun ((Rs32 million), Charun (Rs20 million), Muzhgole (Rs60 million), Goldeh Broze (Rs25 million), Khorkashandeh (Rs40 million), Booni Gol (Rs4.2 million), Kosht
(Rs65 million) and Ayun (Rs91 million).
Meanwhile, another young man committed suicide in Kosht village of upper Chitral here on Thursday.
An official of Mulkhow police station told this correspondent that Iltaf Khan belonged to Booni village and had come to meet his relatives in Kosht village where he committed suicide by jumping into the river.
