Koudougou

 

a city in Upper Volta, administrative center of the Central Western Department. Population, 28,000 (1966). A railroad station. Koudougou is a trade center of an agricultural region (grains, cotton, and peanuts). It has a cotton-ginning plant and a textile combine.
