Kazatin

 

a city (since 1938) and the administrative center ofKazatin Raion, Vinnitsa Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Kazatin is animportant junction of railroad lines to Kiev, Zhmerinka, Shepe-tovka, and Uman’. Population 27, 000 (1970). Kazatin has enter-prises for the maintenance of railroad transport, a poultrycombine, a creamery, a bread-baking plant, a mixed-feed factory, and a clothing factory.
