Kraków Gates

 

a depression between the Malopolska Uplands and the spurs of the Western Carpathians in Poland, about 45 km long and up to 7 km wide. The Vistula River flows through the Kraków Gates, and the railroad and highway between Wroclaw and Przemysl pass through the area. The city of Kraków is situated in the region.
