Kulaly

 

an island in the northern part of the Caspian Sea; the largest of the Tiulen’i Islands. Area, 68 sq km. Kulaly is composed of sands and, in places, clay deposits. There are sandy knolls, 6–8 m high, in the central section. The island has semi-desert vegetation. Fishing is an industry on Kulaly.
