Lake Dardanelle State Park


Location:Two separate areas on opposite sides of Lake Dardanelle: the Russellville area is located off I-40, exit 81, south and then immediately west for 5 miles on AR 326; the Dardanelle Area is 4 miles west of Dardanelle on AR 22.
Facilities:84 campsites with hookups (65 at Russellville and 19 at Dardanelle), picnic areas, pavilions, bathhouses, marina, boat ramps. In addition, the Russellville area has a fishing pier (é), trail, kayak and bicycle rentals, and visitor center with exhibits.
Activities:Camping, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Lake Dardanelle is a 34,000-acre reservoir on the Arkansas River. The park is a National Park Service Certified Trail of Tears site, and guided kayak and party barge tours led by park interpreters allow visitors to learn about the history of the area, including land routes where the Trail of Tears crossed here.
