This veteran product, first introduced in 1987 and noted for its ease of use, has been so widely used that people often refer to "laplinking" as a general term for file transfer. Laplink 2000 was the first version of the software to provide file transfer over the Internet. Earlier versions supported transfer between PCs and Macs.
