an urban-type settlement and center of Lazovsk Raion, Moldavian SSR, 26 km from the Bel’tsy railroad station. Population, 10,400 (1972). It is the site of a winery, a baking combine, a workshop of the Orgeev carpet-weaving factory, and a hatchery.
