Leninna Bairakh

 

(Leninna bajraq, Lenin’s Banner), a republic newspaper in the Dagestan ASSR issued in Darghin. It is published in Makhachkala three times a week. Founded on July 1, 1921, as the Daĝistanna muh̯tarjat (Autonomous Dagestan), it was renamed several times, taking its present name in 1961. In 1971 the newspaper was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor. Circulation, 23,200 (1973).
