Having the shape of a lentil or double convex lens.
Clouds having the shape of a lens or almonds—often elongated and usually with welldefined outlines. Severe downdrafts, updrafts, and rotor activity are associated with lenticulars, and therefore flying in the vicinity of these clouds should be avoided. See lee wave.
