Literaturnaia Rossiia

 

(Literary Russia), a literary weekly, the organ of the boards of directors of the Writers’ Union of the RSFSR and the Moscow organization of the Writers’ Union of the RSFSR. It began publication in 1963 in lieu of the newspaper Literatura i zhizn’, which had been published from 1958. Literaturnaia Rossiia prints short stories, essays, novellas, verses, articles on social affairs, literary criticism, memoirs, historical documents, bibliographies, and other materials. Circulation, more than 100,000 (1973).
