Literaturnyi Sovremennik

 

(Literary Contemporary), a monthly literary, artistic, and sociopolitical journal issued in Leningrad from 1933 to 1941. It published many works by Leningrad writers, translations of poetry of the peoples of the USSR, and works of contemporary and classical foreign literature. Literaturnyi sovremennik also printed literary criticism and bibliographical material.
