Lobva

 

an urban-type settlement in Novaia Lialia Raion, Sverdlovsk Oblast, RSFSR, located on the Lobva River (Ob’ Basin). A railroad station on the Serov-Goroblagodatskaia line. Population, 12,000 (1970). Lobva is the site of a timber combine, a hydrolysis plant, and a logging and timber distribution establishment. There is an evening timber technology technicum in Lobva.
