Special Features:Park is an early California rancho that includes the original nine-room de la Osa Adobe, several other period historic structures, and a lake shaped like a Spanish guitar. The park contains exhibits on early California ranch life. This historically valuable location passed through many hands, going from Indian to Mission to Californio to French Basque control through the 19th Century.

At Los Encinos State Historic Park in Encino, the quake damaged the 1850 De la Ossa Adobe, bringing down a wall and two chimneys, cracking bricks, and shaking plaster loose.
