Mangyshlak Bay

 

a bay along the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea between the Mangyshlak and Buzachi peninsulas. Its western boundary is marked by the Tiulen’i Islands. The bay is about 100 km long, about 70 km wide at its entrance, and 9-14 m deep. Mangyshlak Bay usually freezes over in winter. [15_940_1]
