Mautino State Fish & Wildlife Area
Location:6 miles south of I-80, off IL 40 near Buda.
Facilities:15 stocked lakes, boat ramp, canoe access, restrooms (é).
Activities:Boating (electric motors only), canoeing, fishing, hunting, hiking.
Special Features:Area is mostly non-reclaimed strip-mined land with 15 stocked lakes for fishing. Shore access is limited, and shorelines drop abruptly into deep water.
