Maverick, Fontaine (Maury)

(1895–1954) U.S. representative; born in San Antonio, Texas. A lumberman and highly decorated World War I veteran, he served in the U.S. House of Representatives (Dem., Texas; 1935–39) and chaired the War Production Board (1941–46).
