KUWAIT, Sept 4 (KUNA) -- Egypt Kuwait Holding Co announced that one of its subsidiaries is set to launch a
Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) wood production factory with a cost of USD 61.4 million for the first phase.
The factory also has plans to expand in exploiting agriculture waste through establishing a factory that produces
medium-density fibreboard (MDF) as well as a decorative-panels plant.
The divestiture of the 16 manufacturing facilities includes five solid wood mills, four particleboard plants, two
medium-density fibreboard plants, one fibreboard plant and four gypsum wallboard plants.
The group of companies has been managed by the Homann family for four generations and has developed into a leading manufacturer of thin, high quality,
medium-density fibreboard (MDF) and high-density fibreboard (HDF) for the furniture, door and laminate industry in western and eastern Europe.
"We specialise in 3D carving and engravings on wood,
medium-density fibreboard (MDF), acrylics and metals," says general manager Mahesh K N.
During the same period, the top four importers have purchased USD 193.3 million worth of
medium-density fibreboard (MDF); builder's joinery products with a total value of USD 145.4 million; and 263,491 cubic metres of hardwood lumber, which amounted to USD 107.8 million.
Finnish process industry machinery and systems supplier Metso Corporation said on Wednesday (12 April) that its subsidiary Metso Panelboard would supply equipment for the German-based Pfleiderer MDF Sp.z.o.o.'s
medium-density fibreboard line in Poland.
Their
medium-density fibreboard (MDF) plant produces an estimated 160 million square feet of product in full sheets annually.
