Mendzhi

 

a balneological health resort in the Georgian SSR, 3 km from the city of Mikha Tskhakaia. The climate is subtropical and humid, with hot summers (average July temperature of about 30°C) and mild winters (average January temperature of 5°C); annual precipitation is 1,300 mm. Among the therapeutic agents are sulfuretted hydrogen chloride sodium waters with the chemical composition (well No. 1)

which are used for baths. Treatment is available for patients with diseases of the organs of blood circulation, organs of locomotion, and the nervous system as well as gynecological and skin dis-eases. There is a sanatorium and a bathhouse.
